Services
Five service areas, each built around platforms we have tested and trusted on real Sydney sites. We name the products because we stand behind them.
Networks
We design and install UniFi networks for homes, studios and small commercial sites. A typical engagement begins with a physical site walk, a radio-frequency survey where appropriate, and a written proposal that specifies every access point, switch and cable run. We install, label and document the full network, including managed switches, PoE power budgets, VLAN segmentation, a guest network separated from the main, and remote management for ongoing support.
Platforms used: Ubiquiti UniFi (Dream Machine, access points, managed switches), Microsoft 365 Entra for identity-backed guest access where required, Cloudflare for DNS and public-facing services.
This service is appropriate for homes over approximately 300 m², multi-building sites, shops and cafés running a POS, and small offices of up to about 30 staff.
Storage and backup
We install Synology NAS systems configured for automated backup of workstations, servers and cloud services. Every installation includes both onsite redundancy (RAID or SHR) and offsite replication to a second Synology unit, a cloud target, or both. We configure snapshot scheduling, versioning and email alerts so that a failed drive or a ransomware event is recoverable without a phone call to us.
Platforms used: Synology DiskStation and RackStation, Synology Hyper Backup, Synology Active Backup for Business, Backblaze B2 for offsite cloud targets.
This service is appropriate for any site that stores data it cannot afford to lose — client files, creative work, accounting records, medical or legal documents.
Security and monitoring
We install and configure UniFi Protect camera systems, smart access control and network-level threat protection. Camera systems are sized to the site — from a four-camera residential installation to a multi-building commercial deployment — and recorded locally to a UniFi NVR with optional cloud backup. Network security includes DNS-level ad and threat blocking, VLAN isolation for IoT devices, and firewall rules tailored to the site.
Platforms used: Ubiquiti UniFi Protect (cameras, NVR, doorbell), UniFi Access (door locks, intercom), Cloudflare Gateway for DNS-level filtering.
This service is appropriate for homes that want visible deterrence and local recording, retail sites with stock or cash, and any business with a compliance obligation around physical access.
Smart building
We design and install Home Assistant-based automation for lighting, climate, energy monitoring and presence detection. Automations are written to run locally — they do not depend on a cloud service, and they continue to work if the internet connection drops. We prefer Zigbee and Z-Wave devices for reliability and avoid wi-fi devices that congest the network.
Platforms used: Home Assistant (local), Zigbee (via SkyConnect or deconz), Z-Wave, SolarEdge for energy monitoring, Shelly for power metering.
This service is appropriate for larger homes that want integrated control of lighting, HVAC and energy, and for commercial sites that need scheduled automation or environmental monitoring.
IT management
We manage domains, DNS, email, websites and day-to-day IT support for small businesses that do not have an internal IT function. This includes Microsoft 365 administration, website hosting, SSL certificates, remote desktop support and periodic health checks of network and storage infrastructure. We act as the single point of contact for all technology questions.
Platforms used: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID), Cloudflare (DNS, Pages, Workers), various hosting providers as appropriate.
This service is appropriate for small businesses of up to about 30 staff that need a reliable, responsive technology partner without the overhead of a full managed-service contract.
